The Nominees for the 2008 Robert Beaudry Award
The Beaudry Award is named in honor of JCU graduate Robert Beaudry, who was killed in an airplane crash in 1951.
He was president of Alpha Sigma Nu and the Boosters’ Club as well as a member of the Sodality, now known as the Christian Life Communities during his time at JCU.
Beaudry’s family and friends contributed to dedicate a shrine in his honor, which is located between Bernet Hall and the Boler School of Business.
In 1951, the CLCs established the Beaudry Award to be given annually to a graduating senior who demonstrates a commitment to leadership and faith and exemplifies the Jesuit ideals.
Students, faculty, administration and staff representatives nominate individuals as well as comprise the Beaudry Award Committee. Only graduating seniors may vote during cap and gown pick-up April 7-9, 2008. The winner will be presented with the award at commencement exercises.
