Johanna: Facing Forward and Back

Johanna Orozco joins a panel of experts to tell her story at JCU- 10 a.m. Wednesday, Donahue Auditorium

One year ago, on March 5, 2007, 18-year-old Johanna Orozco was brutally attacked by her former boyfriend, who had been released by the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Justice System after raping her. Her arduous recovery was the subject of an award-winning series by The Plain Dealer titled "Johanna: Facing Forward." Today, Johanna is a freshman at John Carroll University. She will discuss her ordeal with a panel of experts and ask what can be done to prevent similar attacks.
