John Carroll earns fourth at JCU Invitational

Eight different programs converged on The Country Club of Hudson on Monday, Sept. 19 for the JCU Invitational.


The hosting John Carroll University women’s golf team managed a fourth place finish in the Monday outing after collecting a 704 team score.


St. Francis University (In.) won the event for the third straight year after generating a 653 team score. The University of Mount Union (667) and Otterbein University (696) rounded out the top four finishers along with John Carroll.


Junior Michele Whiteleather lead all Blue Streaks with a two-round score of 170, which was good enough for a T-9 finish. Freshman Anna Rastetter was not far behind with a 175 final score while  freshman Sarah Beckwith also registered an impressive 178 total.


Junior Adrienne Metzger led the way for the John Carroll “B” after shooting a 187 for the day.


The Blue Streaks will make a two-day trip to Meadville, Pa. for the Allegheny College Invitational at the Country Club of Meadville.
