The John Carroll University women’s golf team competed in the College of Wooster Spring Invitational on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17. An improvement on day two allowed the Blue Streaks to jump out of last place, although the squad still finished eleventh out of twelve teams in the competition.
Madonna University won the event with a team score of 662 strokes, with Denison University finishing in second (666), followed by the University of Mount Union (673) and Wooster College (677). JCU finished with a team score of 770 strokes.
The Blue Streaks top performer was senior Jackie Weisenberger, who finished in the top 30 with a score of 181 strokes.
Sophomores Nicolette Bowersock and Adrienne Metzger each placed in the top 50 as well, finishing with scores of 190 and 193, respectively.
JCU returns to action on April 29 for the OAC Championships.
