The John Carroll University men’s golf team improved their strokes by 5, however stayed at eighth place overall at the Nye Intercollegiate on Sunday, April 19. After shooting a 324 on Sunday, the Blue Streaks finished with a 653 at the tournament. Wittenberg University came out on top with shooting a 595, while DePauw University’s Drake Dunaway earned individual medalist honors with a 1-over par 145.
For JCU, the freshman Connor O’Grady fired the low round of the day. O’Grady shot a 77 on Sunday, tying for 31st at 163. Leading JCU’s team was sophomore Seth Kreutzer, tying for 23rd at 160. The other students that helped the Blue Streaks place eighth were freshman John Schnur (25th, 161) and Nick Boccio (48th, 175).
The JCU men’s golf team will be playing again at the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament, which will be held April 25-26 at River Greens in West Lafayette, Ohio.
