Improving by six shots, the John Carroll University men’s golf team improved two spots on the leader board to land fourth place at the Ohio Athletic Conference Spring Invitational over the weekend. The Blue Streaks finished at an overall of 642 at the par-72, 6,622-yard Little Turtle Golf Club in Westerville, Ohio.
Paired with the OAC Fall Invitational to determine the OAC regular champions, Otterbein University came out on top with a four-round score of 1,226. JCU finished fourth with an overall score of 1,261 strokes.
Sophomore Seth Kreutzer led JCU, placing 15th overall. He shot a 58 on Monday, finishing with a score of 158. Sophomore Mark Chrzanowski (tied for 21st, 161 strokes), Freshman Andrew Britton (tied for 21st, 161), Freshman John Schnur (tied for 25th, 163) and Freshman Connor O’Grady (39th, 173) helped the Streaks achieve fourth place.
