Consistency was the key for the John Carroll University women’s golf team this past weekend in Granville, OH at the Denison Invitational where they shot a 386 on day one and a 388 on day two to finish in 13th place overall out of the 16 schools represented at the Invitational.
The Blue Streaks were led by junior Jackie Weisenberger who shot a 92 on Saturday and an 88 an Sunday, to finish at 180 for the weekend, good enough for 38th overall.
A pair of freshman, Nicolette Bowersock (96, 95) and Adrienne Metzger (101, 100) kept with the consistency trend for JCU, both being one shot off of matching their first day scores exactly and finishing in 191st and 201st respectively.
Freshman Michele Whiteleather (82nd place) and sophomore Amelia Roche (95th) rounded out the day for the Blue Streaks, having shot a 202 and 227 respectively.
JCU looks to continue improving this coming weekend when they travel to Erie, PA to participate in the Michael Corbett Fall Classic at Lake Shore Country Club.
