The 2013 Carroll News Celebrity Bracket Challenge

March 21st, 2013

Updated on March 31, 10:55 p.m.

Following the Elite Eight round, the Challenge has nearly been decided. Only four competitors (Alyse Viggiano, Dan Cooney, Mike Moran and Brendan Gulick) chose a correct Final Four team — all chose Louisville. Plus, only one picked two correct Final Four teams (Alyse- Louisville and Syracuse). The remaining six players have been eliminated from competition. To whittle down the field further, only Dan or Alyse can win, due to the fact that neither Gulick or Moran can surpass Dan, who picked the Cardinals to win the National Championship or Alyse, who chose the Cards to reach the title game. Both Gulick and Moran only had Louisville advancing to the title round. In other words, if the Cardinals win the Championship, Dan is the winner. But if the Cards lose before then, Alyse takes home the prize. With the Final Four round coming up on Saturday, both Dan and Alyse will be interested to see if the Cards can win it all.
