‘Angels and Demons’
May 15: Tom Hanks comes back as Robert Langdon to face the Illuminati, a secret religious brotherhood; to solve a murder and prevent a terrorist act against the Vatican. Hanks also played Langdon in the mystery thriller “The DaVinci Code” in 2006.
May 29: Produced by Pixar, “UP” follows an old man who flirts with the idea of “balloonacy.” By tying thousands of balloons to his home, 78-year-old Carl Fredricksen sets out to fulfill his lifelong dream to see South America. Right after lift-off, however, he learns he isn’t alone on his journey. An eight-year-old named Russell has joined him for the trip.
June 19: “Year One” follows Jack Black and Michael Cera, who play two primitive hunter-gatherers who become lazy and are banished from their village, sending them on an adventure of a lifetime in the ancient world.
‘Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’
June 24: The Autobots encounter Decepticon when he returns to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner, after the young hero learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers.
‘My Sister’s Keeper’
June 26: “My Sister’s Keeper” tells the story of a girl conceived solely for the purpose of saving the life of her sister who had been diagnosed with cancer. She hopes to be emancipated from her parents by seeking legal help from Campbell Alexander, played by Alec Baldwin.
‘Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince’
July 15: “Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince” story follows Harry as he begins his sixth year at Hogwarts. He discovers an old book mysteriously marked, “This book is the property of the Half-Blood Prince” and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort’s dark past.
